Digital artist Matthew Jablonski designs renditions of natural landscapes, often integrated with artificial qualities. His artistic process creates illustrations, influenced by silkscreen images depicting the hidden beauty of America’s National Parks in the 1930s, by comprising them of highly-saturated, solidly-colored shapes. However, he mimics them with Adobe Creative Cloud, vector-formatted computer applications, to achieve this contemporary style. In addition to simply interpreting photographic references, “as they appear,” Jablonski critically visualizes what could be eliminated or added, to maximize the drama of his work. “This captures viewers’ eyes, evoking them with a sensation of having visually witnessed a unique, emotionally uplifting event.” Jablonski says.
